The 8 foot by 8 plait kangaroo hide stock whip kit is the longest whip offered in the make your own kits is a wider cut strand than the 12 plait and as such is considered and selected as a strong whip to take to  work each day. To guarantee the success of your whip making project we cut and taper the strands as we do with every whip, it comes complete with belly and foundation to suit. The handle is built by us in the workshop, by providing the full plait handle already built this gives us the ability to control the balance of the whip from our workshop. Thus assuring your whip plaiting project will have a good working whip outcome.

The longer the whip, the more strength that is required to swing and crack it. This length is most often selected by stockmen who work country where the extra reach of this whip is required to move cattle out of those hard to reach gullies and from scrub country, there is no hiding from this length.

The specification is as follows:-

• 21 inches in the stock (handle)
• 96 inches in the thong
• 32 inches in the fall

Add to this the length of your arm to determine overall reach.
