The whips fall well and are very tightly plaited with even tension.

Making a Whip
Grinding the spring steel reinforced cane handle to shape, for a full plait handle.
All whips six to sixteen plait, have a balanced handle (balanced against the weight in the thong). A Full plait handle being complete.
Measuring the leather for length and taper, which is absolutely essential for a well-balanced whip.
Each Strand is painstakingly hand-cut with taper and a beveled edge.
The hide must be greased and stretched fully before plaiting.
A twelve plait Roo-Hide whip ready for plaiting.
Firm and even tension is required when plaiting ensuring that the whip will fall straight and true. A 12 plait Roo-Whip showing full leather bellies.
